THE DON'S ARE BACK
History

Back in the 1992/1993 season Larry Butler & Les Keeling decided to start up a boy's football team officially called Chalvedon Boy's aka The Don's in there first ever season they played only friendly matches and looked purely at the development of the young lad's they had training with them at the time.. The next season 1993/1994 The Dons played in an unofficial pirate league at under 9 level yet all of there players where 8 years old or younger. The boy's managed to finish a respectable 3rd this season and showed much promise at such an early age !.
The following season of 1994/1995 see new additions to the squad and The Don's again entered the under 9 Local pirate league but this time around they meant business as they all was at the correct age group as everyone else, The Don's went on to complete the double, the league was won with ease only conceding 4 goals along the way and also the league cup was clinched after extra time penalties at Averley FC stadium.
After an extremely successful season The Dons looked to move onto bigger and better things and joined forces with Concord Rangers FC. The Don's now officially became Concord Rangers under 10's in the 1995/96 season, Concord went on this season to again become league champions of the southend and district premier division and reach the east anglian cup semi final only losing to the eventual winners Harlow Sports in extra time.

Present.

Since The Dons FC day's of 1992 the players have all grown up, Been to school and now have job's, some have there own places and there own family's ! , most of the team from 13 years ago still play today and some at a respectable level.

Craig's dad Paul has been relentlessly working behind the sense also ensuring The Dons have a brand new kit for the game and The Dons manager Larry butler has also been busy helping contact every player from The Dons day's.
We hope for the game to be played in the month of July at a nice venue and that the whole event is a complete success.
